Sectors in which we operate

Arable farms

Collaboration with arable farmers focuses on optimising yield, quality, uniformity and business security, while reducing in-season risks.
We combine actual field measurements with decades of knowledge in the TTW Data System®. This allows us to know not only what is happening in the crop, but also why - and which measures are proven effective in practice.

We work with diverse crops such as chicory, onions, potatoes, bulbs, cereals, brassicas, beets & chicory.

Soil and crop measurements are linked to the TTW Data System®, which contains thousands of site-specific observations by variety, plot, soil type and crop. This reveals what is happening in the crop, why it is happening and which measures have proven effective in practice.

What this delivers:

  • Less wastage through early detection of diseases, pests and growth defects.

  • More efficient use of fertilisers and plant protection products.

  • More peace of mind in the season thanks to clear decision rules and continuous monitoring.

Producers

Producers have one crucial challenge: ensuring a predictable flow of raw materials of the right quality, in the right volume and at the right time.
We help create this certainty by making the entire cultivation process measurable and insightful - from plot selection to delivery.

Linking actual field measurements to the TTW Data System® provides insight into the current state of the crop and the expected quality and yield. This information makes it possible to better align planning and supply with actual availability and quality.

We also support the establishment of and compliance with cultivation protocols for suppliers, including field monitoring. The data from this process can be used for reports meeting certification requirements and sustainability frameworks, such as GlobalG.A.P. and CSRD.

What this delivers:

  • Better aligned production planning.

  • Reduced rejects and dropouts in processing.

  • Substantiation towards auditors, customers and supply chain partners.

Processing industry

For processors, maximising the utilisation of landed raw materials is essential.
Our approach links plot data directly to processing results, revealing which provenances produce the best quality and processability.

We optimise parameters such as underwater weight, uniformity and grading. By combining this knowledge with our field observations, we can make timely adjustments - in cultivation and just before delivery - to improve processability.

This provides not only more consistent product quality, but also less line downtime and more planning certainty in the factory. Every adjustment is underpinned by facts, not assumptions.

What this delivers:

  • Better utilisation of raw material through higher uniformity and quality.

  • Less downtime and more efficient production runs.

  • Predictable planning and stable output.

Preservation & storage

In preservation, every day counts. TTW helps preserve quality and value through targeted advice and regular checks. We look at product preparation for storage, optimal positioning of batches and the right balance between temperature, humidity and air flow.

With this approach, risks such as dehydration, freezing or loss of quality are spotted in time and you can make immediate adjustments. This way, the quality achieved in cultivation is maintained and the next production phase is optimally prepared.

What this delivers:

  • Preserving quality and value

  • Reduced risk of storage problems

  • Better preparation for sale, processing or further cultivation

  • Optimal cooling performance and energy saving

Seeds & seedlings

Seeds & seedlings
The seed and seed potato sector is all about high-quality starting material and varieties that perform as the market expects. TTW supports propagators with the development of practical growing recipes: clear, reasoned guidelines on how best to grow a variety.

This provides growers with a concrete manual that allows the product to optimally match the buyer's processing specifications. This helps secure quality, reduce risks and strengthen the variety's market position.

What this delivers:

  • Cultivation strategies aligned with buyer specifications

  • Better predictability of quality and yield

  • Strengthening market position and customer confidence

Research institutes

TTW actively cooperates with renowned research institutes and trial centres. Joint field trials and practical research allow us to test new varieties, cultivation methods and techniques under a variety of conditions. The focus is always on objective measurements and reliable data.

The knowledge generated from these collaborations is not only applied in our advice, but also shared with our partners and customers. In this way, we accelerate innovation, increase understanding of crop performance and contribute to a future-proof agricultural sector.
